Sete Shore Excursion

This private Sete excursion visits the Languedoc wine region located near Roussillon. During the day you will stop at two wineries where you will learn about local wine making and then enjoy wine tastings. In all you will taste approximately 7 different wines. There is also time for a lunch stop.

After meeting your driver-guide at the port, this private Sete tour begins with a drive through the beautiful landscape of rolling hills covered with vines. Your destination is the wine region located near Roussillon. We include both small wineries and at least one large winery in each tour. The wines tasted typically includes reds, whites (including local Picpoul de Pinet) and sometimes rose wines. Good news, in the Languedoc, pours are more generous than in most other well known wine regions of France.

When you each the first winery you will have the chance to visit the cellars and learn about the history, the local terroir and grape varieties that are used for local wine making. After the tour you will participate in a wine tasting session.

After your second winery visit you will have the chance to visit a local restaurant to enjoy lunch (meal not included). Should you have a large group or wish to have a specialty lunch we can arrange a multi course meal with wine at one of the wineries. Note this adds up to $100 USD per person to the tour price. Finally, your private Sete shore trip will end with a stop at a second winery which is located in the middle of the vineyards. You have the chance to see the stunning Oak barrel cellar before tasting a range of different wines - red, white or rose depending on your wishes.

At the end of this tasty Sete shore excursion you will be safely driven back to the pier.
