Dutch Masters & Pottery

This private Rotterdam shore tour visits the medieval village of Delft and its Royal Delft Pottery Factory, then continues to the Mauritshuis Museum in The Hague, home to a well known collection of Dutch Masters. The tour ends with a driving tour of The Hague.

After meeting your private guide you drive to Delft for a visit to the Royal Delft Pottery Factory, the only one remaining of roughly 32 earthenware factories established in Delft in the 17th century. You watch artisans hand paint new pieces of this well known local craft. From there you take a guided walk through medieval Delft, including a stop at the magnificent Market Square, with time for lunch at a local cafe.

You then head to The Hague, the third largest city in the Netherlands and seat of the Dutch government. Your first stop is the Mauritshuis Museum, whose collection totals roughly 800 paintings alongside miniatures, sculptures, drawings and prints. Its most famous piece is Vermeer's Girl with a Pearl Earring. After the museum, you take a driving tour of The Hague, passing the Parliament House, the Queen's Palace, the International Court of Justice and more. At the end of the tour you are brought back to the port.
