Ko Samui Island Shore Excursion - This private shore trip is the perfect opportunity to get a true feeling for the Island of Samui. You will see the unspoiled natural beauty of the island as well as some of the most important landmarks.

After meeting your guide your first visit is at the Big Buddha Temple which is located on a small island just off Ko Samui. This giant 36 foot tall golden statue is the main tourist attraction on the island and a must-see for most visitors.

Next you drive to a spectacular viewpoint to view the famous Grandmother and Grandfather Rocks. These well-known rocks sit on the sea shore's edge and are reminiscent of both male and female reproductive organs, causing many to giggle and making for many legends about their formations.

Then you stop at a coconut plantation to watch monkeys picking coconuts. You will have the chance to try fresh young coconuts, which offer a completely different taste from the older coconuts. You also see a demonstration by local people on how to make coconut milk by hand.

Later you visit the mummified monk at Wat Kunaram. The Buddhist monk Phra Khru Samathakittikhun requested that is body be mummified in a meditative position to encourage others to follow Buddhist teachings and become free from suffering.

Before returning to the pier you have another stop to see the stunning Na Muang Waterfall, another one of the islands natural attractions. If time is available you can stop in Nathon, the islands main town, to enjoy some free time.
