Barcelona Shore Excursion - This tour visits the Penedes, Catalonia's premier wine producing region located along the coastline south of Barcelona. You visit a bodega, or winery, for a tour and wine tasting!

After meeting your private guide you'll enjoy a panoramic drive along Barcelona's marine front before departing the city for the Pacs del Penedes. The hot dry Mediterranean climate makes this an ideal grape growing region.

Your tour visits the Torres wine cellar, or bodega, where you will learn about the thousand year old tradition of making wine in this area. Starting your tour in the visitor center you'll enjoy a short film which illuminates the history of the winery from planting through harvest and fermentation.

In the "Tunnel of the Seasons" you will experience the climatic contrasts of the vine's annual cycle as well as hear and smell the environment that surrounds it. You'll walk between the barrels of wine while you learn the secrets of smelling the wine as it matures.

Of course the highlight of your visit comes after your tour when you enjoy the tasting of the Torres wine.
