Where do cruise ships dock in Klaipeda?

Cruise ships dock at the Klaipeda cruise terminal on the mainland side of the strait. There is no tendering - you walk directly off the ship. Your guide and vehicle will be waiting at the pier exit with a name sign. The Curonian Spit is reached by a short ferry crossing from the city centre, which is included in all tours that visit Nida. The crossing takes approximately 5 minutes and runs frequently throughout the day.

The Curonian Spit is a 97-kilometer-long sand peninsula separating the Curonian Lagoon from the Baltic Sea, shared between Lithuania and the Russian enclave of Kaliningrad. How much time do I need to see Nida and the sand dunes?

Allow at least 2 hours in Nida itself - one hour to walk up to the dune viewpoint and back, and another hour to explore the village, the Thomas Mann house, and the waterfront promenade on the lagoon. The ferry crossing from Klaipeda adds about 30 minutes each way including the drive along the spit.
