Southampton Cruise Port to London Heathrow Airport Transfer (LHR)

Start your cruise on the right foot with a private transfer from Heathrow Airport to your ship in Southampton, about 66 miles (106km) away. Each transfer includes a vehicle with a professional English-speaking driver and space for one large suitcase and one personal item, such as a backpack or purse, per person. Vehicle size is matched to the number of people in your group.

Note: additional luggage or extra waiting time is at your own expense. If you need more luggage space, contact us in advance for a quote. We monitor your flight and time your pickup accordingly, so there is no need to specify a fixed buffer after your scheduled arrival.

Each person may bring one large suitcase and one personal item — backpack, purse, or carry-on. If you have additional bags, oversized items, golf clubs, or mobility equipment, please contact us before booking so we can arrange the right vehicle.

Vehicle Types

Vehicle size is matched to your group — sedans for 1-2 passengers, minivans for 3-6, and minibuses for 7-8. All are air-conditioned, non-smoking, and licensed for private transport.

How long is the transfer from Southampton to London Heathrow Airport?
The drive from Southampton Cruise Port to London Heathrow Airport (LHR) takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours depending on traffic. We recommend this transfer for flights departing at least 4 hours after your ship arrives.
Where will our driver meet us at Southampton port?
Your driver will meet you on the public pier as you disembark, holding a sign with your group name. Southampton's cruise terminals are well organized with clear pickup areas.
Can we make a stop in Windsor or another attraction on the way?

Is there a guarantee that we'll make it back to the ship on time from our Southampton tour?
Every Southampton guest is protected by our Back-to-Ship Guarantee, no extra sign-up needed. If a delay caused by our tour operator keeps you from returning to the ship on time, we'll arrange and cover your transportation to catch up with the ship at its next port of call. To qualify, your tour needs to be scheduled to return at least 1.5 hours before the ship's departure, and you'll need to be back at the vehicle for every agreed meeting time during the day.
How does the deposit and balance payment work for Southampton tours?
$50 per tour is all it takes to reserve your Southampton excursion. The remaining balance is due 30 days before your tour date. If your plans change, that deposit isn't refundable, but it stays on your account as credit toward any tour for up to 3 years. Larger groups, custom itineraries, or tours involving flights or overnight stays may carry a bigger deposit and their own terms, which we'll spell out at booking.
What if I need to cancel my Southampton excursion last minute?
Cancelling 15 or more days before your Southampton tour gets you a refund, minus the standard $50 fee. Inside 14 days of the tour date, cancellations become non-refundable. One exception: if your ship simply doesn't call at Southampton because of weather, mechanical issues, or political unrest, you'll get a full refund less the $50 fee. All cancellation requests need to be submitted in writing by email.
What's the pickup process for a Southampton tour?
Cruise Ship: After disembarking at Southampton, follow signage to the terminal's main public exit. If there's a terminal building, continue through the arrivals area to the pickup zone outside -- cruise staff can assist. If the port has no terminal building, your driver will be waiting dockside as you leave the ship. If your contact isn't visible right away, stay near your exit point and call the local dispatch number listed in your confirmation. Hotel: Look for your driver or guide right outside the main entrance or in the lobby -- they'll be holding a sign with your group name. Airport: Once you've collected your luggage and cleared customs, head into the arrivals hall -- your driver or guide will be there holding a sign with your group name.
Are museum and site tickets included in the Southampton tour price?
Check the Southampton tour page -- entrance fees are included wherever indicated there. Keep in mind some venues require timed, skip-the-line tickets that become non-refundable the moment they're purchased. We'll flag any non-refundable entrance fees for you at booking.
How much luggage can we bring on a Southampton transfer?

Sorry for the delay in replying.. I was not getting emails However, as you can tell by my replying, Im back successfully  --- I did hear from the local operators early on that morning and the return transfer to Heathrow worked like a charm.   In fact, we got on the road at 630 am exactly and were at Heathrow by 820 --- plenty of time for everyone to check in comfortably.     I think the only issue was the Hotel to Port transfer.    THANKFULLY, I requested to have the transfer pick up time a little earlier.  As it happened, traffic (as always for London) factored in and they were more than half an hour late.. For that group movement,  I think they may have misunderstood how the passenger counts were supposed to be ---- they thought the 8-pax mini van was solely for luggage.  It was uncomfortable with them squeezing bags in the 30-pax coach and the leftover in the other vehicle.  As it happened, we sent one person in that car with the driver and every seat  including the jump seat usually reserved for a tour guide  was filled on the coach.    Traffic was still an issue and it ended up being over 90 minutes before we even reached the highway --- London is so big and the roads are all city driving until you can access the main system out of the city.  Was nerve-wracking --- but, silver lining --- the huge global snafu with the system effected countless people, including those (not related to us!) arriving for the cruise and who still had to travel from the airports..  this chain reaction allowed for the cruise line to delay sailing in order to wait for the late-comers.  Our group arrived around 330 which was remarkable, seeing how much time we consumed just in getting there.     That was the only hiccup. Our guided sightseeing tour of London was wonderful --- Konrad, our Blue Badge Guide --- absolutely fantastic  did a great job for us --- everyone who participated in the tour loved it and commented very favorably.    Despite iffy weather reports, we dodged rain the entire trip except for brief sprinkles  not bad for England, Scotland , Iceland and especially Ireland.   I want to mention that I appreciated the contact between the local operators and me. I received text and phone messages as needed, which is a huge relief  instead of waiting around and not sure who youre looking for ---- this eased my nerves and enabled me to communicate more comfortably with my group members. Thank you so very much for helping with the arrangements.      Except for the little snafu with the first transfer  which was resolved  all else went like clockwork.

Thanks for asking. They were good. The first driver was really nice and helpful and a good guy. The other driver was fine but not as nice. He was fine though and both were on time and the vehicles were comfortable as well. Very happy we chose you as both worked out great.
