This private full-day experience includes a panoramic tour of London followed by a transfer to Southampton, about 78 miles (126km) away. Your day begins with pickup at your central London hotel. Your driver, who is not a licensed guide but will offer suggestions and pace the day around your interests, takes you on a driving tour with photo stops at London's most iconic landmarks.
A typical order runs as follows: the Tower of London and Tower Bridge, for photos of the historic fortress and its bridge along the River Thames; St Paul's Cathedral, with panoramic views of the cathedral and surrounding streets; Westminster Abbey, the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben, for a stop in the heart of Westminster; 10 Downing Street, for a quick photo at the Prime Minister's residence from the secure gates; and Buckingham Palace, timed where possible to coincide with the Changing of the Guard if you are touring in the morning.
Midday brings a one-hour lunch break at either Borough Market, known for its wide range of food stalls, or a recommended traditional pub serving classic dishes such as fish and chips with an English ale (meal not included). After lunch, the tour continues with additional photo stops at any remaining landmarks or a return to sites you would like to revisit.
The day concludes with a comfortable drive to Southampton. If your drop-off is at a Southampton cruise ship, let us know your official check-in time so we can adjust the sightseeing schedule to ensure a timely arrival at the port.
