Piraeus Cruise Port to Athens Hotel Transfer

End your cruise vacation on the right foot with a private transfer from your cruise ship in Piraeus to your hotel in Athens.

Private transfers include a vehicle with a professional English speaking driver and space for one large suitcase and one personal item, such as a backpack or purse, for each person. The type of vehicle used is based on the number of people in your private group, from a sedan for smaller parties up to a full size coach for larger groups.

Each person may bring one large suitcase and one personal item — backpack, purse, or carry-on. If you have additional bags, oversized items, golf clubs, or mobility equipment, please contact us before booking so we can arrange the right vehicle.

Vehicle size is matched to your group — sedans for 1-2 passengers, minivans for 3-6, and minibuses for 7-8. All are air-conditioned, non-smoking, and licensed for private transport.

This is a direct transfer. If you’d like to spend a few hours exploring along the way — the ancient Acropolis and Parthenon, the vibrant Plaka neighborhood, or the National Archaeological Museum are all worth the detour — contact us and we can put together a custom itinerary and quote.

How long is the transfer from Piraeus to an Athens hotel?
The drive from Piraeus Cruise Port to central Athens hotels takes approximately 30 to 45 minutes depending on traffic and your hotel location.
How do we find our driver once we're off the ship in Piraeus?
As you step off the ship, look for your driver right on the public pier -- they'll be holding a sign with your group's name. If the terminal has an enclosed building, just continue through it to the main public exit, where your driver waits.
Can we make a sightseeing stop on the way to our hotel?
Yes - a brief photo stop at a landmark such as the Acropolis viewpoint may be arranged en route. Please mention this at the time of booking so we can factor it into your schedule.
What if our Piraeus tour runs long and the ship leaves without us?
Every Piraeus guest is protected by our Back-to-Ship Guarantee, no extra sign-up needed. If a delay caused by our tour operator keeps you from returning to the ship on time, we'll arrange and cover your transportation to catch up with the ship at its next port of call. To qualify, your tour needs to be scheduled to return at least 1.5 hours before the ship's departure, and you'll need to be back at the vehicle for every agreed meeting time during the day.
What happens to my deposit if my plans change for Piraeus?
$50 per tour is all it takes to reserve your Piraeus excursion. The remaining balance is due 30 days before your tour date. If your plans change, that deposit isn't refundable, but it stays on your account as credit toward any tour for up to 3 years. Larger groups, custom itineraries, or tours involving flights or overnight stays may carry a bigger deposit and their own terms, which we'll spell out at booking.
How late can I cancel a Piraeus tour and still get a refund?
Cancelling 15 or more days before your Piraeus tour gets you a refund, minus the standard $50 fee. Inside 14 days of the tour date, cancellations become non-refundable. One exception: if your ship simply doesn't call at Piraeus because of weather, mechanical issues, or political unrest, you'll get a full refund less the $50 fee. All cancellation requests need to be submitted in writing by email.
How does pickup work if I'm starting my Piraeus tour from a hotel or airport?
Cruise Ship: After disembarking at Piraeus, follow signage to the terminal's main public exit. If there's a terminal building, continue through the arrivals area to the pickup zone outside -- cruise staff can assist. If the port has no terminal building, your driver will be waiting dockside as you leave the ship. If your contact isn't visible right away, stay near your exit point and call the local dispatch number listed in your confirmation. Hotel: Look for your driver or guide right outside the main entrance or in the lobby -- they'll be holding a sign with your group name. Airport: Once you've collected your luggage and cleared customs, head into the arrivals hall -- your driver or guide will be there holding a sign with your group name.
Are the entrance fees for Piraeus attractions refundable?
Check the Piraeus tour page -- entrance fees are included wherever indicated there. Keep in mind some venues require timed, skip-the-line tickets that become non-refundable the moment they're purchased. We'll flag any non-refundable entrance fees for you at booking.
Is there a luggage limit for Piraeus transfers?
Piraeus transfer vehicles are set up for one large suitcase and one personal item per person. Extra or oversized bags just need a heads-up in advance.

Turkey was fantastic. Driver and Orntune (way he told us to say it. My travel agent friends very impressed with you coordination. Looks like more unrest for Athens tomorrow. So glad we limited to sightseeing. Athens was high-level tour. Guide was very good however, the day was damp and the mood dampened since the strike closed the main attraction.
