Athens Airport to Piraeus Cruise Port Transfer (ATH)

Start your cruise on the right foot with a private transfer from Athens International Airport (ATH) directly to your cruise ship at Piraeus. This is a direct, door-to-door service with a professional English-speaking driver, no shared buses, no waiting for other passengers. Athens Airport is about 45 kilometers (28 miles) from Piraeus, and the drive typically takes about an hour depending on traffic.

Luggage Allowance: Each person may bring one large suitcase and one personal item - backpack, purse, or carry-on. If you have additional bags, oversized items, golf clubs, or mobility equipment, please contact us before booking so we can arrange the right vehicle.

We recommend scheduling your pickup 90 minutes after your flight’s scheduled arrival time. This allows enough time to deplane, collect your luggage, and clear customs. If your flight is delayed, your driver will monitor the flight and adjust.

How long is the transfer from Athens Airport to Piraeus?
The drive from Athens International Airport (ATH) to Piraeus Cruise Port takes approximately 45 to 60 minutes depending on traffic. We recommend allowing at least 3 hours before your ship departs.
Where do I meet my driver at the airport for my Athens tour?
Airport: Clear customs and collect your bags, then make your way to the arrivals hall -- look for your driver or guide holding a sign with your group name.
What if my flight is delayed before my Athens pickup?
We keep an eye on flight status for Athens pickups, so a late arrival just means a longer wait for your driver. Use the number on your confirmation to notify us of any changes.
Do Athens tours include a Back-to-Ship Guarantee?
You're covered: every Athens reservation carries our Back-to-Ship Guarantee automatically. If a delay caused by our tour operator keeps you from returning to the ship on time, we'll arrange and cover your transportation to catch up with the ship at its next port of call. To qualify, your tour needs to be scheduled to return at least 1.5 hours before the ship's departure, and you'll need to be back at the vehicle for every agreed meeting time during the day.
How much deposit is required to book a Athens tour?
A $50 deposit per tour locks in your Athens reservation. The remaining balance is due 30 days before your tour date. If your plans change, that deposit isn't refundable, but it stays on your account as credit toward any tour for up to 3 years. Larger groups, custom itineraries, or tours involving flights or overnight stays may carry a bigger deposit and their own terms, which we'll spell out at booking.
What is the cancellation policy for Athens tours?
Athens tours cancelled at least 15 days ahead are refunded less a $50 administration fee. Inside 14 days of the tour date, cancellations become non-refundable. One exception: if your ship simply doesn't call at Athens because of weather, mechanical issues, or political unrest, you'll get a full refund less the $50 fee. All cancellation requests need to be submitted in writing by email.
Where do we meet our driver or guide in Athens?
Cruise Ship: Disembark at Athens and proceed to the terminal's main public exit. With a terminal building, walk through arrivals to the public pickup area outside -- ask cruise staff if needed. Without one, your driver is waiting on the dock. If your contact isn't immediately visible, remain near the exit and call the local dispatch number provided in your confirmation. Hotel: Look for your driver or guide right outside the main entrance or in the lobby -- they'll be holding a sign with your group name. Airport: Once you've collected your luggage and cleared customs, head into the arrivals hall -- your driver or guide will be there holding a sign with your group name.
Are entrance fees included in Athens tours, and are they refundable?
Admission costs are covered on Athens tours whenever the tour page says so. Keep in mind some venues require timed, skip-the-line tickets that become non-refundable the moment they're purchased. We'll flag any non-refundable entrance fees for you at booking.
How much luggage can we bring on a Athens transfer?

Ken Diaz the Group Reservation Manager of Private Shore Trips organized an amazing set of tourstransportation events for our group of 42 friends and family in MULTIPLE countries! Yes Italy, Greece & Turkey!! Or tour guides provided excellent connections with the entire group and gave a dissertation on the history of each location we visited. We had teachers in our group and they were impressed with the tour guides that says a lot!

The Athens tour was the best tour we have ever been on. Your company could not have done a better job. The driver and vehicle were first class. The car and driver were early and waiting for us to appear. The guide was thoroughly knowledgeable, accommodating, personable and, frankly we would have loved having her with us as a friend. We had a wait list on the ship of others who wanted to join before we took these tour. After the tour, the people who joined us on the Private Shore Trips tour in Athens asked that we include them automatically on any other tours we decided to take....and word spread. Others stopped us on the ship and also wanted to join us if we set up any other tours. We also went on the Corfu tour that Gail set up through your company and it also was excellent. Thank you for your outstanding personal service in helping add us to the Corfu tour and then going to extreme effort in helping us set up the Athens tour (highlight of our cruise) at the last minute. We went on another tour with a different, larger, and more publicized company and that tour did not do anywhere close as good a job as yours. We WILL use you again and again and again. We are now loyal customers thanks first to your personalized, professional and outstanding service and then secondly for the outstanding quality of the tour itself.
