After meeting your guide, you depart for Canterbury, about 17 miles (27km) from Dover. Canterbury blends city, coast and countryside, with a long history as a center of English heritage and architecture. At the Cathedral, pilgrims and visitors have made their way here since the Middle Ages, and it remains one of the most visited places in England, continuing the ancient tradition of Benedictine hospitality.
After the Cathedral, you have free time in Canterbury for lunch (meal not included) and shopping.
In the afternoon, you drive to Dover Castle, which sits above the White Cliffs of Dover and has guarded the English coast for more than 20 centuries.
