This full day Toulon shore excursion to Cassis starts with a cable car ride to the top of Mont Faron, offering panoramic views of Toulon Bay. You can also choose to have the vehicle drive up Mont Faron instead of taking the cable car. Then you enjoy a beautiful private drive along the coast to the fishing village of Cassis, where you can take a boat ride to the famous Calanques.
Your driver guide will meet you at the pier in Toulon and depart for the cable car ride to the top of Mont Faron, at 1,900 feet. You will enjoy dramatic views of the sea and surrounding area and visit the memorial to the 1944 Allied landings in Provence. The cable car operates daily, though the memorial is closed on Mondays.
When you return from the mountain top, you drive along the rugged white rock coast to Cassis. Cassis is the type of unspoiled fishing village that first lured the jet set to the Riviera years ago. Surrounded by white limestone cliffs, umbrella pines, and vineyards descending directly into the sea, Cassis is friendly and unpretentious.
