Gassin Village & Wine Tasting Shore Excursion from St. Tropez

This tour trades St Tropez's harbor scene for the quieter hill country just inland, ending with a proper sit-down wine tasting.

After meeting your driver guide in St Tropez, you drive around one of the Riviera's most scenic bays and through the village of Ramatuelle on your way to Gassin. Gassin has all the features of a classic Provencal hill town: narrow winding streets, vaulted stone archways, and window boxes overflowing with flowers at every turn. Its hilltop position sets it apart from the lower-lying resort towns nearby, with panoramic views over the Gulf of St Tropez and the surrounding vineyards of the Cote de Provence wine region.

At a local chateau you sit down for a guided tasting of 3 wines, learning how to evaluate a Cote de Provence wine by its color, bouquet, and aroma, a good introduction to a wine region built almost entirely around rose. Afterward you have free time in Gassin to get lunch on your own before your driver returns you to St Tropez.
