This special Rotterdam tour is only available in spring, when the famous tulips of Holland are in bloom. You visit Keukenhof Gardens, a park dedicated entirely to tulips and other spring flowers.
After meeting your private guide you depart for Keukenhof Gardens, located in the town of Lisse. The drive takes scenic roads so you can enjoy the countryside, with views of dikes and windmills along the way. Before arriving at Keukenhof, you make a photo stop at some of the large farms that grow the tulips.
Once you arrive at Keukenhof, you explore the 79 acre (32 hectare) park of gardens and greenhouses dedicated to tulips and other spring bulbs. As you walk the footpaths you understand why this is often called the greatest flower show in the world. Roughly 7 million flower bulbs are planted here each year. While in the park you also have time for lunch in one of the restaurants or coffee shops.
Later in the afternoon you return to the pier in Rotterdam.
