Rotterdam Shore Excursion

This Rotterdam day tour visits the Dutch countryside so you can see the famous windmills of Kinderdijk. Then in the afternoon you visit the charming town of Gouda and enjoy the Gouda Cheese Experience.

After meeting your private guide you drive the scenic road along the dike of the Lek River en route to the Kinderdijk Windmills. The windmills of Kinderdijk are one of the most popular Dutch tourist sites and they were placed on the list of UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites in 1997.

At this site there are several different windmills operating and a couple of the windmills are now museums where you can visit the interior learn about Dutch traditions. Depending on the weather you might also enjoy a short boat ride along the windmills. These windmills are often a highlight to one's visit to the Netherlands.

Later this morning you depart for the charming town of Gouda. You will enjoy a guided walking tour of the 17t century town to see the beautiful city hall and church and learn about stroopwafels. While you are here there is also some free time for lunch on your own.

Later this afternoon you enjoy the Gouda Cheese Experience where you discover, feel, taste and experience everything about the world famous Gouda Cheese. This is a cheese lovers delight!

At the end of the tour you are brought back to the port.
