Civitavecchia Shore Excursion

This 8-9 hour Civitavecchia shore trip is for those who want 100% free time while they are in Rome. You are met at the pier in Civitavecchia and transferred to central Rome. Upon arrival you are dropped off at a designated spot and then you have 5-6 hours of free time to explore Rome on your own. You organize your own time while on foot, using public transit or taxis (if you choose). At the set meeting time and place you will be met for the return transfer back to your ship in Civitavecchia. This option includes an English Speaking Driver and a private vehicle for your round trip transfers.

The drop off and meeting point for this shore excursion is the Theater of Marcellus which is in central Rome. This ancient open-air Roman Theater is located at the edge of the Roman Forum and near the Victor Emmanuel Monument. From this point you can walk to sites such as the Roman Forum, the Colosseum, the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain and many more sites and famous squares in Rome. At the end of the day you must return to the meeting point for your private vehicle to take you back to the pier in Civitavecchia. In most cases a different meeting point can be arranged if you wish.
