Rome Airport to Civitavecchia Cruise Port Transfer (FCO)

This private transfer from Rome Fiumicino Airport to the Civitavecchia cruise port is the most reliable way to start your Mediterranean cruise. Your driver meets you in the arrivals hall with a name sign, assists with luggage, and takes you directly to the Civitavecchia cruise terminal in a private vehicle sized for your group.

Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO) is located approximately 40 miles south of Civitavecchia. The drive takes approximately 90 minutes under normal traffic conditions. Traffic on the coastal highway connecting the airport to Civitavecchia can vary, so if your ship has a specific embarkation deadline, please factor in a reasonable buffer when selecting your pickup time.

We recommend scheduling your driver meeting time approximately 90 minutes after your scheduled flight arrival time. This allows adequate time to collect checked luggage, pass through customs, and reach the arrivals hall. If your flight is delayed, please contact us and we will adjust accordingly.

The vehicle type is matched to the size of your group, from a standard sedan for 2 to 3 passengers up to a minivan or larger vehicle for groups of 6 to 8. How long is the transfer from Rome Airport to Civitavecchia?

To qualify, your tour needs to be scheduled to return at least 1.5 hours before the ship's departure, and you'll need to be back at the vehicle for every agreed meeting time during the day.
How much deposit is required to book a Rome tour?
Your Rome spot is secured with a $50 per-tour deposit. The remaining balance is due 30 days before your tour date. If your plans change, that deposit isn't refundable, but it stays on your account as credit toward any tour for up to 3 years. Larger groups, custom itineraries, or tours involving flights or overnight stays may carry a bigger deposit and their own terms, which we'll spell out at booking.
What is the cancellation policy for Rome tours?
A Rome cancellation made 15+ days before the tour date is refundable, less a $50 fee. Inside 14 days of the tour date, cancellations become non-refundable. One exception: if your ship simply doesn't call at Rome because of weather, mechanical issues, or political unrest, you'll get a full refund less the $50 fee. All cancellation requests need to be submitted in writing by email.
Where do we meet our driver or guide in Rome?
Cruise Ship: Your first step off the ship at Rome is to find the terminal's main public exit. Terminal building present? Walk through arrivals to the public pickup zone outside, with cruise staff able to point the way. No terminal building? Your driver's already waiting dockside. If you don't spot your contact right away, hold your position near the exit and call the dispatch number in your confirmation. Hotel: Look for your driver or guide right outside the main entrance or in the lobby -- they'll be holding a sign with your group name. Airport: Once you've collected your luggage and cleared customs, head into the arrivals hall -- your driver or guide will be there holding a sign with your group name.
Are entrance fees included in Rome tours, and are they refundable?
For Rome tours, entrance fees are included exactly where the tour page lists them. Keep in mind some venues require timed, skip-the-line tickets that become non-refundable the moment they're purchased. We'll flag any non-refundable entrance fees for you at booking.
