TOUR DESCRIPTION

Monaco, Eze & St Paul de Vence Shore Excursion from Nice - 8 Hours

This full day Nice shore trip includes a private van and driver guide. You explore the best of the French Riviera, including the most popular spots such as Nice and Monaco's Old Towns, modern Monte Carlo, and the medieval hilltop village of Eze. There is also an optional stop at St Paul de Vence.

After meeting your driver guide at the pier in Nice, you drive west until you reach Nice's Old Town. Once there you drive down La Promenade des Anglais, the famous palm tree lined street that parallels the most famous beach on the Riviera, and enjoy free time to walk through the beautiful flower market, closed Mondays when a flea market takes place instead.

Leaving Nice you follow the Lower Corniche road, which hugs the dramatic rocky coastline, until you reach Eze. This pedestrian only French medieval village is made up of narrow lanes and stone buildings that cling to the cliffs more than 1000 feet above the sea. You can walk to the top of the town's hill, where a garden viewpoint overlooks the sea, browse the boutiques, or enjoy an ice cream with a million dollar view. There is some strenuous uphill walking, though if you are not up to it you can instead enjoy the scents of Provence at the adjacent Fragonard perfume factory.

Later you visit the Principality of Monaco, where you have free time to explore the Old Town, see the Royal Palace, and stroll through the Cathedral where Princess Grace is buried. No bare shoulders or shorts above the knee are allowed inside the Cathedral. You have free time in either Monaco or Monte Carlo to enjoy lunch, which is not included.

Next you drive the route of the legendary Grand Prix of Monte Carlo Formula 1 circuit, and your driver guide will point out some of the more famous hairpin turns. Your final stop is the modern city of Monte Carlo, home to the rich and famous, where the Casino of Monte Carlo sits across from a park lined with designer boutiques and luxury hotels, and it is common to see some of the most expensive cars in the world, such as Bentley, Porsche, Ferrari, Aston Martin and Lamborghini, parked out front.

At the end of this popular Nice shore excursion you return to the port via the Upper Corniche road with its stunning views. During the tour your driver guide will also stop at one or two panoramic viewpoints over the French Riviera.

You have the option to include a visit to St Paul de Vence, a popular hilltop Provencal art town, if you are willing to keep your lunch break short.

If you cannot find what you are looking for, our Nice shore excursions can also be customized to fit your needs. Please contact us with any questions or to receive a customized Nice tour quote.

Please note
  • During the Grand Prix Events there is a 50% supplement and it is not possible to visit Monaco or Monte Carlo from June 4-7, 2026. Please contact us if you are interested in a tour during this period.
  • About the Casino of Monte Carlo - The Casino of Monte Carlo is open to tourists for viewing from 10 AM until 12 noon. During this period the entry fee is 20 Euro per person and no gaming is open. From 2 PM onwards the casino is open to individuals (not tour groups) and a formal dress code is enforced. During this period an entry ticket is required to access the gaming areas, including the slots, craps and Black Jack tables. You must show your passport to buy the ticket, and 10 Euro of the ticket price is returned to use at the slot machines or at the bar. Everyone must be 18 years or older and have their passport available.

We had a   wonderful   time with your guides. As a travel agent, I would highly recommend your company, and I already have to Rosenthal and Karel. Hopefully they have contacted you and booked an excursion or two. Thank you so much for all your help. Im sure we will be e-mailing again. This was the best tour that we had on our cruise. There was a total of 6 couples and Greg took care of all of us with another driver too. He was understandable, courteous, and very knowledgeable of Monaco, Monte Carlo, Nice, & Eze. He was able to cover all of these sights within our timeline with the ship. The Norwegian Ship did not offer this excursion. Greg and his other driver stopped for many photo shoots. I would highly recommend

I just wanted to thank you, again, for assisting us with our private tours in France and Italy! We had the most wonderful visits and I want to specifically say how great the tour guidesdrivers were. We enjoyed spending the day(s) with all of them and would recommend your company, and those specific guides, to anyone traveling to those locations. They helped in making our first trip to Nice and (3 ports in) Italy very memorable! Weve been home a week and cant stop talking about our trip...Im not sure we will! Merci... Grazie... Thank you
