Copenhagen Shore Excursion
This four hour Copenhagen shore excursion includes a driving tour with stops for photos at famous monuments. At the end of the city tour you enjoy a canal cruise to see the Canal District from the water.
After meeting your driver guide at the pier you begin your Copenhagen driving tour. Copenhagen, Denmark's capital, is one of the most historic cities in the Baltic region, and on this introduction tour you will explore close to 850 years of history. Enjoy the view from your private vehicle as you pass the City Hall Square. You'll see the mile long pedestrian street called Stroget which connects the City Hall Square with the King's New Square.
On the other side of the City Hall you see the world famous Tivoli Gardens. Tivoli was founded in 1843 and it offers a wealth of flowers, restaurants, entertainment and amusement rides.
Next you will pass the Glyptotek Art Museum with its impressive art collection and continue to the canal area of Nyhavn. This is a charming part of Copenhagen with brightly colored houses alongside the canal. Some of the other sights seen include the Tycho Brahe Planetarium, the Royal Theater, the Gefion Fountain and Christiansborg Palace, which is the home of the Danish Parliament. Next you see the former old Stock Exchange which burned down in 2024 and the guide will tell you the story of this tragic event.
There is a stop to see the Amalienborg Castle which is the royal winter residence. You will need to walk a short distance to enjoy seeing the castle courtyard, the Royal Opera House and the impressive Frederiks Church, which locals call the Marble Church.
Later you enjoy a photo stop at the Little Mermaid statue which was inspired by Hans Christian Andersen`s fairytale.
After your Copenhagen tour is complete, you board a boat for a city canal cruise through the Canal District. These guided Copenhagen cruises visit the idyllic canals where you learn about the beautiful churches, castles, old listed houses and more.
When the Copenhagen cruise is complete, you are taken back to the pier or your hotel.
