This private boat excursion departs directly from the pier in Amalfi and spends the day exploring the island of Capri by sea.
After meeting your captain, you cruise along the Amalfi Coast, passing charming villages, hidden lagoons, and 16th century coastal watchtowers built to warn of pirate raids. Once you reach Capri, you have the chance to see the Blue Grotto, a sea cave known for the electric blue light created by sunlight refracting through the water, believed to have been used as a private swimming grotto connected to Roman Emperor Tiberius's villa complex on the island (entrance fee not included). You also pass the Faraglioni, three limestone sea stacks that have become the symbol of Capri.
Your captain then takes you to one of Capri's grottos, often the Green Grotto, a popular swimming spot known for its turquoise water, where you have the chance to swim if you wish. Beverages, snacks, towels, and fuel are included, and you are welcome to bring your own drinks, though red wine is not permitted on board due to staining risk. Your captain can suggest lunch options (meal not included), whether an exclusive bay with a seaside restaurant or a quieter spot in a village of your choosing. Marina Piccola, a popular anchorage for yachts, and Marina Grande, known for shopping, are both possible stops along the way.
The boat itself is 30 to 38 feet (9 to 12m) depending on your group size, with ample deck space and a cabin with a restroom and refrigerator. Shoes and sandals must be removed while aboard.
At the end of the day, you return to the pier in Amalfi.
