Review Location- Marseille Sunday, June 14, 2026 Reviewer: Suzanne M from Seaside Park, New Jersey   To maximize our port time on a recent Mediterranean cruse, we decided that private, guided tours were a must. So, after research, travel agents advise and reading reviews, I chose Private Shore Trips. It did not disappoint! Super easy to book, response time was immediate. Mary Helen, the owner of the excursion company, included a guide for us in Avignon.  The guide rode in one van from Marseille to Avignon but returned on her own.  Quite the talker.  We did not have to pay for her services but we did have to pay her guide entry fee which was 25 Euros.  We were able to expedite our entrance because we had a guide.  Well worth the 25 Euros.  With the extra 30 minutes added to the itinerary, we had just enough time at Pont du Gard.  I wouldnt mind going back to enjoy the river and float under the aquaduct.  I was amazed by all the swimmers and kayakers in the river.
