Monaco / Monte Carlo Shore Excursion

This Monaco shore trip is the most popular half day excursion on the French Riviera. You visit the old town of Nice and see her most famous beach. You also see the royal palace of Monaco and the Casino of Monte Carlo. The medieval village of Eze is also a highlight.

After meeting your driver guide, you immediately depart for Nice. You will drive along the Lower Cornice to enjoy sea views. Upon arrival in Nice you'll drive along La Promenade des Anglais, the street that runs along the most famous beach in the Riviera. You will have a chance to walk through the famous flower market (closed Mondays when flea market takes place) in the old town before stopping on Castle Hill, where the Greeks first arrived and where you can admire a beautiful view over the beach, the old town and the port of Nice.

Leaving Nice you drive on the Upper Corniche, the road which runs along the cliff tops high above the sea. Your next stop is Eze where you'll visit a typical French medieval village made up of narrow lanes and stone buildings. Eze clings to the cliffs over 1000 feet above the sea. Walk to the top of the city's hill where a garden setting view point overlooks the sea. Take time to peak into the boutiques or enjoy an ice cream with a million dollar view. If you are not up to walking, you can enjoy the scents of Provence at the adjacent Fragonard perfume factory.

Next you visit the Principality of Monaco. Your first stop is the old town of Monaco. If you are here at noon, you'll have a chance to see the changing of the guards in front of the royal palace. A must for many people is the Cathedral where Princess Grace is buried. Next you'll follow the path of the legendary Grand Prix of Monte-Carlo Formula 1 circuit. A stop in the modern city of Monte Carlo allows you to experience the unbelievable luxury of this unique place! You will have time to see designer shops, luxury hotels and the famous Casino and gardens.

At the end of your tour, you are brought back to your hotel or the pier.

Notes on the Casino - The Casino of Monte Carlo is open to tourists for viewing from 9 AM until 12 noon. During this period the entry fee is 10 Euro per person (cash only) and no gaming is open. Then from 2 PM onward the casino is open to individuals (not tour groups) and formal dress code is enforced. During this period there is no entry fee to access slots, craps and Black Jack tables. Further gaming rooms require 10 Euro per person entry fee (cash only). Everyone must be 18 years or older and have their passport available.

Mobility- Folding wheelchair OK, some sites may be inaccessible (advance notice required)
