Haines Shore Excursion

This Haines shore trip includes an easy scenic bike ride, an invigorating hike to a scenic beach for wildlife spotting and then a chance to relax and sample the local beer.

After meeting your guide you walk to the local bike shop where you will be fitted with a bike and helmet. From there you bike along a scenic 2-mile beach side road until you reach the Battery Point Trailhead.

Next you will hike with your guide down to the beach at Battery Point through a beautiful rainforest environment on a well maintained trail. This is a great place to spot seals, sea lions, whales, and many types of birds. You will spend some time at the beach to enjoy the wildlife before hiking back up to the bikes, and then riding back into town.

Once you are back in Haines, you will visit The Haines Brewing Company to try their locally crafted beers (for adults 21+ only / root beer and tea also available). The brewery occupies a state-of-the-art new building on Main Street. You will sample a few 4oz portions of beer before riding the final mile back to the bike shop.

Following your tour, you will have time to explore the town of Haines on your own, or make your way back to your cruise ship.

Mobility: NO wheelchairs
Recommended Clothing: Comfortable shoes for walking, hiking and biking, layered clothing
Restrictions: Participants must be at least 13 years old to take the tour and 21 years old to sample beer.
