Haifa Shore Excursion - This tour visits the limestone grottoes at Rosh Hanikra, one of the most beautiful natural sights in Israel. You also explore one of Israel's oldest continuously inhabited cities, Acre, including the Crusaders and Turkish underground city and crypt.

After meeting your guide at the pier in Haifa, you drive to Rosh Hanikra, stopping to enjoy a scenic view of the Haifa and its famous Bahai Gardens. In Rosh Hanikra you visit the beautiful limestone grottoes. These natural sea caves were formed over thousands of years and today are one of the most beautiful natural sights in Israel. You take the world's steepest cable car from atop the cliffs down into the grottoes. The view from the cable car is breathtaking. Once you are inside the grotto you walk the footpaths and stairs to enjoy stunning views and sounds of waves crashing. It is recommended that you wear rubber sole shoes for walking on slippery surfaces. In winter months, full rain gear is recommended.

Free time for lunch (meal not included) is provided during the tour.

This afternoon you visit Acre, which is one of Israel's oldest continuously inhabited cities. While you are here you have the chance to visit the Crusaders and Turkish underground city and crypt. In the underground Crusader city you walk down to different levels to see how the Turks built on top of the old city. The lowest level is the Crypt which was likely used by the Crusaders for ceremonies. You also have a chance to walk through the old city, the Oriental market, the Arab mosque and the old port.

At the end of your tour, you return to the port in Haifa.
