Review Location- Ravenna May 5, 2026 Reviewer: Richard P from Tobyhanna, PA   Sorry for the delay in getting back to you but we just arrived home from our cruise yesterday. Everything went great on our private tour from Ravenna to Bologna. The tour guide (sorry, her name escapes me) was great and insightful and took us to a local restaurant that was a big hit. Review Location- Ravenna May 5, 2026 Reviewer: Susan M. from Dallas, TX   All went quite well with the transfers and shore excursions. The transfers in Venice went quite smoothly. The private tour guides arrived on time with very presentable vehicles and were very knowledgeable and personable. Thank you!!  Of interest was the time needed to collect bags and clear customs in Venice. No problems what so ever - we walked right out within 10 minutes - and the transfer was waiting as requested. The guides were punctual and knowledgeable, in addition to nice and friendly. I will definitely recommend you if I get a chance and no doubt will contact you for assistance with our next trip (a couple of years away... but already thinking about it!). It makes a huge difference to find a trustworthy source in the US for pre-arranging tours in Europe. We loved the convenience of a private tour combined with the flexibility it provided. The buses were very comfortable and the tour guides have been great and considerate of our senior citizens. We all applauded the end of every tour and We have all been recommending Private Shore Trips web site to all the people we met on the ship. You know that recommendation and word of praises are good advertisements for your business. Review Location- Ravenna May 5, 2026 Reviewer: Geri and Ed P from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada   Thanks for the e-mail. The trip went off without a hitch. Every driver and guide that we had were great. I am sure that the trip would not have been the same without the service, care and friendliness of each and every person that we had contact with. We met wives and even mothers of a few of the guides )Venice would have been a nightmare getting to the hotel after the airport that first day without the pre-arrangements as suggested by you. We were looking in horror as the driver approached a square and said he would be   leaving us here   and we would be getting a water taxi. There were hundreds of people everywhere standing with suitcases!! But he actually led us to the water and we were surprised and   thrilled   when we were the only ones getting on the boat. (we had already seen more than a few stuffed with people). That driver took us to our first hotel and it took at least 35 minutes by water travelling in open water and then down the small streets to get us to the first hotel. Our first look at the city of Venice!! It set the whole Venice adventure for me and my husband who by now had taken 400 pictures.The arrangements to get to the ship and back were also of the same high quality. The tours of each country again were the best and I think we had the guides who were the most passionate and loved their individual Countries thus providing us with a tour through their eyes, knowledge and love of their Country. You know there is one thing I would request but I am not sure of the policy. We got the e-mails of most of the guides as we took pictures that we have already e-mailed but I dont have or misplaced the ones for Athens and I have misplaced the one for the Verona drive Lino Sorrentino...are you able to ask for those and if they agree send those to me. I have pictures of us and the guide in Athens done by the photographers from the ship of the 3 of us at the Acropolis that I am sure she would like. (We were also lucky enough to actually be by the Greek Presidents Residence when he came..our guide had only once in her life time seen him and he was waving to the people as his car turned into the driveway. There were only about 8 people on the road once security locked it down. She was very happy about this.)Sorry you probably did not want a narrative. But Ken the trip was great. Thank you for all your hard work and diligence in getting everything done and getting the guides. And THANKS for suggesting the airport transfers!! We have been looking at what to do for next years adventure and we will of course contact you. We tell everyone about the private tours and how much better the experience is than going on a bus with 40 other people and then following someone carrying a coloured stick of some kind) Thanks again ) Was this review helpful to you?

He was so knowledgeable and took time to interact with all of us based on our interests and questions. When we stopped at a cafe for a coffee and snack he jumped right in to help us order and make sure we got everything correct. The tour was exceptional and he gave an amazing restaurant recommendation reservation for lunch. Our driver was Roberto and traded cell phone numbers with us so we could call him when we were ready. The guides were very knowledgeable and personable. They were able to key into our interests and focused the tour to accommodate that. One of the biggest concerns (as Im sure you know), when hiring a private tour company in connection with a cruise, is getting back to the ship on time. We were so pleased that the tour guides and drivers were very aware of this and made every effort to return us to the ship in good time. In addition, it was a pleasure working with you in setting up the tours and finding out information. You responded promptly to my emails and provided lots of good information. The use of the tours arranged by your company were the highlights of our trip. When we did have questions and called the number provided, the response was prompt. It was good to have a contact number once we were actually traveling.I already have passed your information to two people I know will be traveling in the Mediterrean before the end of the year. If we were to make another trip like this past one, I would definately look into booking through you. I plan on posting something on Trip Advisor as soon as things slow down a bit around here.
