After meeting your guide in Invergordon you start your scenic, passing over the Moray Firth on the Kessock Bridge. Your first stop is the Cawdor Castle, which dates back to the 14th century. You tour the castle visiting rooms such as the Tapestry Bedroom, the Drawing Room, the Old Kitchen, the Dining Room and more. You see period furnishings and art giving you insight to times past. If the castle is not impressive enough, there are three lovely gardens on the site!

Next you have free time in the town of Inverness, regarded as the capital of the Highlands of Scotland. While you are here you can enjoy lunch in a typical Scottish pub.

After lunch you board a cruise at the Clansman Harbor. You cruise along Loch Ness enjoying some of Scotland's most scenic countryside.

You will disembark the ship at the Urquhart Castle, which was once one of the largest castles in Scotland. This castle was built in the 1230s on a strategic spot with the cold waters of Loch Ness located on three sides of the site. In 1296 the English seized the castle and then in 1545 it was sacked by the MacDonald Lords of the Isles. Finally, in 1689 the castle gate was blown up with gun powder by its own government soldiers so that the Jacobite rebels could not use it. After that it was never used again and fell into ruins. Today the castle is owned by "Historic Scotland" and you can tour the castle ruins, castle tower and its modern visitors center which contains an array of medieval artifacts found at the site.

During the day your guide will share some of the many legends of Loch Ness.
