Zeebrugge, Belgium - This full day tour visits Brussels, the Capital of European Union. After meeting your guide at the pier in Zeebrugge you immediately start the drive to the thriving city of Brussels.

When you reach the city you begin with a driving tour which includes the Royal Residence and ParK. It is here where the King lives, has his offices and holds official functions. At the famous Atomium you stop to take photos of this 300 feet tall structure which was built for the 1958 Universal Exhibition.

You continue with a drive through the European Quarters with the Parliament building, Art Hill and the Justice Court. Other sights seen on the driving tour include the Chinese pavilion, Japanese Tower and the Triumph Arch of Cinquantenaire. 

After seeing these famous sights you start a walking tour of the Grand Place or main square of the Brussels' old town. The beautiful square has been the heart of the city since the 12th century. You will marvel at the medieval Town Hall and City Museum which dominate two sides of the square. The other sides are lined with magnificent Guild Houses.

After an orientation tour of the town square you have free time to enjoy lunch on your own and stop into a few of the local shops.

Based on the morning traffic conditions you may also have time to walk to the popular Manneken Pis Statue. This small statue of a boy relieving himself is the most photographed sight in the city. Tradition has dignitaries from around the world brining costumes as a gift for the king and the small statue. Maybe when you see it, he will be wearing a hula skirt, a sombrero, a kimono or you name it.

Later this afternoon you return to the pier in Zeebrugge.
