Taormina, Italy - This full day tour combines the Godfather tour and the Highlights of Taormina. If you are a fan of the Godfather movie series, then many of the locations on this full day tour will be very familiar to you. After meeting you driver and licensed guide you drive the coastal road where you’ll see villas, gardens and gorgeous views of the sea on your way to the artistic town of Savoca.

In Savoca you take a walking tour where you enjoy the atmosphere of the Coppola’s movie. You visit the Bar Vitelli where filming took place in 1971 and the bar has remain unchanged since. In the bar you’ll have the chance to see a collection of photos of famous scenes shot here and you can taste the typical sicilian’s granita (ice with lemon juice). After a walk on the main road of Savoca surrounded by its churches, you’ll be driven to Forza d’Agrò).

In Forza d’Agrò you’ll see the Arab Norman castle. In 1990, Al Pacino and Sophia Coppola shot scenes for the Godfather III here. After visiting “Chiesa Madre” and Saint Agostino church, you continue on the coastal road to Taormina.

This resort town boasts some of the best Sicilian scenery including shots from the Godfather series. The town is located on a a hill overlooking the sea and with the Etna volcano as its backdrop. Here you’ll visit the gorgeous Greek amphitheater, the second largest in Sicily. It was originally built by the Greeks and then renewed later by the Romans. Today it still boasts near perfect acoustics and is the setting for music, film and dance festivals.

Based on traffic conditions a short amount of free time is allowed to visit some of the chic shops of this famous resort town. You return to the pier in Taormina 8-8.5 hours after you began.
