Rotterdam Shore Excursion - This tour visits the Dutch countryside so you can see the famous windmills of Kinderdijk. In the afternoon you explore the Delft Pottery Factory and enjoy a panoramic driving tour of Rotterdam.

After meeting your private guide you drive the scenic road along the dike of the Lek River en route to the Kinderdijk Windmills. The windmills of Kinderdijk are one of the most popular Dutch tourist sites and they were placed on the list of UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites in 1997. At this location several different windmills are operating. Depending on wind conditions it is often possible to visit the interior of a windmill where you can learn about Dutch traditions. These windmills are often a highlight to ones visit to the Netherlands.

Next you drive to Delft to enjoy a private tour of the Royal Delft Pottery Factory. This factory is the only remaining factory of the 32 earthenware factories that were established in Delft in the 17th century. You will watch and learn as artisans create new pieces of this beautiful local craft.

After the factory tour you have free time in the magnificent Medieval Market Square of Delft where you can enjoy lunch on your own.

Late this afternoon you enjoy a panoramic driving tour of Rotterdam where you see the juxtaposition of old world Europe and ultra modern architecture. At the end of the tour you are brought back to the port.
