Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain - This half day tour explores Las Palmas old town and also includes a panoramic drive to the top of the Bandama volcano.

Your tour starts with a visit to the Pueblo Canario (Canarian Village), a complex of traditionally-built houses forming a typical Canarian village with gates, turrets and an atrium. This allows you to see the traditional style of the island.

Next you visit Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, the capital of the island. The oldest quarter of Las Palmas was called San Antonio Abad and later it was split into Vegueta (the old town) and Triana .  Your tour includes a visit to Vegueta which is considered one of the most beautiful towns in Spain.  The most famous monuments and sightseeing places are found here including the Santa Ana Cathedral, Cairasco Place, a 19th century theater, and the Columbus Museum.  This area is also home to Calle Mayor de Triana, one of the islands most exclusive shopping boulevards.

After visiting the old town, you driver a short distance to the volcanic crater Bandama. Next to the crater is the cone of the same name. The road climbs up to the top of this 1900 foot high cone offering you wonderful panoramic views of the coastline and the mountains. Finally you drive to Altavista where you can enjoy unforgettable views of Las Palmas.
