Explanations of some terms in our tour descriptions.

Drivers and Guides

Licensed Guide- A tour guide who has the utmost training as required by their government to offer tours. A licensed guide is fully trained to offer commentary on driving tours plus provide walking tours and tours inside historical sights and museums. A licensed guide must carry their license badge whenever they are offering their services.

Tour Leader- A trained guide who can provide commentary during the driving portions of your tour. This guide can join your group on foot but they are not licensed to provide commentary inside historical sights or museums.

Guide Chauffeur- This is chauffeur who is trained about their city or region so that they can provide commentary in English during the walking or driving portions of your tour. However a guide chauffeur does not provide tours inside historical sights or museums.

Driver Guide- A driver who is also trained about their region or city so that they can provide commentary in English during the driving portions of your tour. A driver guide does not provide walking tours or tours inside historical sights or museums.

Vehicles

Coach- A full size bus, typically with up to 40 - 50 seats depending on location.

Mid Size Bus- A small coach, typically with 15 seats.

Mini Bus- A full size van, typically with 8 passenger seats.

Mini Van- A small size van, typically with 6 passenger seats.

Sedan- A full size car, typically with 3 passenger seats.

Chartered Taxi- This is a private taxi which has been hired for the full length of your tour. Your guide will travel with you and make all arrangements with the driver.

Transfer- Transportation from one point to another. No commentary is provided and your driver may only speak limited English. Prices are based on the number of people and the number of pieces of luggage (bags).

Take 3

Discounted Price - On most tours we offer a discounted price if you confirm 3 or more tours with us. For example, confirm a tour for the French Riviera, Naples and Athens (or any 3 ports) and you receive the discounted price on "each" tour. You must confirm all three tours at the same time and you must confirm at least 21 days in advance to get the discounted prices.
