Are the prices per person or for the whole group?
All tour prices are per group based on the vehicle size needed. Only prepaid entrance fees are per person, as noted.

Do you require a deposit?
No, but a credit card is required to guarantee your reservation.

When is the payment due?
Your card is charged for the full amount of the tour about 21 days prior to the tour

Can I pay with US dollars?
The tours are operated by European tour companies which charge your credit card in the local currency, the Euro. Currently the tours in Portugal are the only ones quoted and paid in US Dollars.

What is the exchange rate of Euros to Dollars?
This is determined by your credit card company at the moment your card is charged.

Can we pay with more than one credit card?
Yes! You can pay with up to two cards per tour. Or multiple tours can be charged separately on separate cards.

Can I pay at the time of the tour?
A credit card is always required to confirm your tour, and cash payment in Euro (not US Dollars) may only be made by prior arrangement before the tour begins. If you are interested in paying cash, please let us know.

How much should we tip?
Count on a tip in the amount of 10-15% of the tour price, if you are pleased with the service. (We're sure you will be!) Tips to your driver or guide are not included in the tour price.

What's the difference between a driver guide, a licensed guide and a tour leader?

Do you make museum reservations?
For some tours we make advance reservations. For others we are happy to help you make your own reservations once you have confirmed the tour.

Will you send us a confirmation?
Once your tour is confirmed, a written confirmation will be sent by US mail to the billing address you have provided.

Can I invite more people from the cruise?
Yes, if space is available for your confirmed vehicle. Example: If you confirmed a vehicle that seats eight people, you can invite others up to the limit of eight. Remember that prepaid entrance fees are only included for the original number you submitted with your reservation.

Are the vehicles air conditioned and non smoking?

Where do we meet our guide?
Your driver / guide will meet you at the pier listed on your confirmation. Your guide will hold a sign which includes the “Client Name” as shown on your confirmation.

What happens if my ship doesn't arrive at the right time - will the
guide wait?
If you learn that your ship will arrive at a much later time than planned, you should contact the local office to advise a new time. Of course the guides check with the port authority if they reach the port and the ship is not there.

Can we make changes to the itinerary?
If you would like to change your tour itinerary before you depart on your cruise, please contact us. Once your tour has begun it is possible for your driver / guide to make changes, assuming it fits within the time frame and general guidelines of the tour as purchased.

Can I stay at a location longer and go back on my own without the guide?
Yes. It is possible to start your tour at the pier and then be dropped off elsewhere. For example if you have an 8 hour tour and you want to stay in a spot late into the evening, we can drop you there and you can get back to the ship on your own. The only exception to this is in St. Petersburg, Russia.

Will you give us a local phone number for the guide?
Yes. In case of any last minute changes or cancellations you will have a local telephone number based on the port you are visiting.
