Waterford Reginald’s TowerCork, Ireland- This full day tour visits the oldest town in Ireland, Waterford, including it's Museum of Treasures. Plus you enjoy a sampling of a famous Irish Whiskey. After meeting your private driver and tour guide you depart for Waterford.

Waterford is a walled city with Viking origins. You enjoy a walking tour of the city where you see its medieval character together with the graceful buildings from its 18th century expansion. You explore narrow medieval alleyways leading off many of the larger streets. Reginald’s Tower marks the city’s Viking heart and the surrounding area is particularly attractive. Georgian times left a legacy of fine houses and commercial buildings along The Mall, George’s Street and O’Connell Street. Highlights include Christchurch Cathedral and the French Church.

After your walking tour of the city you visit the Waterford Museum of Treasures. This museum brings together an extensive range of rare and beautiful artefacts that are brought to life by the latest technological innovations aided by 7 audio-visual displays and interactive pods. The treasure trail and personal-sound-guide device, allows each visitor to encounter the past at their own pace, to stop and marvel at the fascinating artifacts and to explore them in depth through a series of interactive and audio-visual presentations. It is located on the Quay in Waterford City and displays some of Waterford’ s uniquely important collection of historic treasures including Viking jewellery, the 14th century Great Charter Roll and others. It celebrates the story of Ireland’s oldest city!

After visiting the museum you have free time to enjoy lunch on your own or if you wish we can arrange a lunch in a local pub for you.

Midleton Old Midleton DistilleryNext is a stop in the town of Midleton to visit the Old Midleton Distillery. Whiskey has been distilled in the town of Midleton since the early 9th Century. The Old Midleton Distillery, founded by the Murphy Brothers in 1825, still produces in excess of 24 million bottles of whiskey each year. A haven for all Whiskey connoisseurs, it is also the ideal place, for amateurs to learn the secrets of good Irish Whiskey. The 45 minute guided tour of the distillery starts with a short audio-visual presentation, after which you are taken on a tour of the old distillery by local guides.
