About the Port of Invergordon- The port of Invergordon is the gateway to the Scottish Highlands. It is a small port with nothing more than a pier for mid-size cruise ships. Although the small town is quaint there is very little to see or do in the port town. Nearby Inverness and other worthy sites are 30 minutes or more from the port. Invergordon has a temperate maritime climate with mild summers and cool winters. Precipitation is expected throughout the year.
